QNFCF featured in Microscopy and Analysis Magazine

Our very own Dr. Sandra Gibson, Nanofabrication and Characterization Scientist on the QNFCF team, was recently interviewed by Dr. Rebecca Pool, news editor of Wiley Analytical Science's Microscopy and Analysis Magazine.

The "lab focus" article in the November/December 2021 edition of the magazine features an overview of the QNFCF as well as a small snapshot of the diverse and outstanding work being carried out by its many lab members.

Upcoming Holiday Closure

QNFCF labs will be closed for the Christmas holiday period starting at 10:00pm on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

Everyone is asked to please plan their work accordingly.

Members are asked to please take a moment to remove personal items which might be needed over the holiday period. Facility access will not be possible between December 22^nd and January 4^th (inclusive).

If all goes well with the usual lab startup activities, we aim to reopen for business by noon on Wednesday, January 5, 2021.

Update to QNC Hours of Operation

For lab members with Advanced Equipment User status, the hours of operation for the QNC Cleanroom and QNC Packaging Lab have been expanded to 6AM to 10PM, seven days per week.

The hours of operation for lab members with Entry Equipment User status remain 6AM to 6PM Monday to Friday.

Hours of Operation remain 6AM to 6PM Monday to Friday

The QNFCF's hours of operation remain 6AM to 6PM Monday to Friday, until further notice.

To allow people the opportunity to respond to unforeseen process and equipment issues that come up from time to time, a grace period of up to one hour is permitted after 6PM.

To be clear, work in the lab must NOT be started that cannot be completed BY 6PM.

QNC Cleanroom closed April 20

The QNC Cleanroom will be closed all day on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 for preventive maintenance of the facility's ventilation and exhaust systems. The work will only impact the cleanroom.

The planned activities are weather dependent; the date may have to be pushed out in the event of poor weather on April 20^th.

For safety, no access to the cleanroom will be permitted on the day of these maintenance activities.
