The majority of graduate error messages involve class selection, and many require you to:
- contact the instructor or department
- complete a course drop and add form
- request a permission number
Permission numbers can be obtained from the course instructor or the department offering the course (usually the Graduate Co-ordinator).
Course drop and add forms require approval of:
- the instructor
- your supervisor
- the graduate officer of department
- the associate dean of your faculty (in some cases)
Contact an instructor
Find the name of the instructor listed in the class information on the Schedule of Classes and use WatIAM to look up their contact information.
Contact a department
The name of the department is usually the same as the name of the subject. You can check a list of contact information for the department offices. If you can't find the subject listed, contact your department graduate office.
