As a Green Volunteer, you will make a positive impact on the campus through campus-wide events and campaigns, connecting with others across the University’s community, and learning more about sustainability!
The Sustainability Office also has a variety of program opportunities to get involved with sustainability actions on campus, including Green Residence, Green Office, and Green Labs.

Requirements

Green Volunteers should be a part of the University of Waterloo community (I.e., student, staff, or faculty).

Should have an interest in environmental sustainability and be aware of or willing to learn about the Sustainability Office’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Should be professional with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
How will it work?

Green Volunteer opportunities will be offered sporadically throughout the year. Normally, opportunities are tied to events and campaigns (i.e., Earth Month, Waste Week). However, effort will be made to hold a booth once a month to highlight challenges, tools, and resources for the campus community.

Volunteer opportunities will be a mix of in-person and virtual opportunities as appropriate.
