Please complete this form to submit your abstract for the 2022 SYDE Graduate Symposium. By submitting an abstract, you are registering to present your seminar at the department symposium on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Your abstract should read like a proper one-page conference abstract, meet the abstract format requirements below, and must be approved by your supervisor(s) before submission. Abstracts not meeting the format requirements below will be rejected.
The Graduate Research symposium abstract and presentation can be used to count as your Seminar Presentation Milestone provided that it satisfies the following conditions:
- The topic of the abstract and presentation is your research and thesis
- This is the second or fourth year of your MASc or PhD program, respectively
The deadline for submissions is Monday, May 23, 2022; submissions received after this date will not be accepted.
Abstract format
- Maximum one (1) page in length
- Minimum of 300 words, not including your title or name
- Your title must appear as a heading at the top of the page
- Your name must appear on the next line below your title
- The body must be justified, Times New Roman font (size 12) with line spacing of 12-14pt
- Margins must be 1" all around
