You are invited to attend a Wellness Workshop led by Faculty Community Wellness Officer, Renate Donnovan on Monday, October 21 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
Life (and grad school) is full of uncertainty, happenstance, and unexpected occurrences. At their best, these moments provide us with happy surprises. At their worst, they create ambiguity, discomfort, anxiety, as sometimes even anger or frustration
In this session we will explore the Model of Uncertainty Navigation (Sweeny, 2012), as well as a variety of strategies and approaches you can use to create a personalize approach to dealing with uncertainty.
About Renate:
In addition to her position as the Community Wellness Officer for the Faculty of Engineering, Renate is also a certified Life Coach and part-time PhD student in the University of Waterloo, School of Public Health. Her research focus is resilience, coping and wellbeing. Warning! Renate is passionate about wellbeing. If you ask her about it, she WILL talk about it (sometimes for hours)!Renate supports initiatives and activities related to the Faculty of Engineering Wellness Framework, as well as provides wellness consulting and support for faculty, staff, and students in departments that do not have a dedicated wellness coordinator.
