Wendy Zufelt-Baxter

Wendy recently retired from her position as Associate Director, Co-operative Education at Conestoga College and has over 25 years of management experience in the not-for-profit and public sector, primarily education, sport and recreation.

Prior to joining Conestoga College, Wendy was the Vice-President Advancement at Shad Valley International responsible for Marketing, Communications, Alumni Relations and Fund Development. She has extensive fundraising consulting experience gained as an associate then business partner with Campaign Coaches Inc., a fundraising consulting firm. Before Campaign Coaches, Wendy was the Director of University Development at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she provided leadership and direction for all areas of operation within University Development, including the major gift fundraising team, the annual giving unit, the planned giving program, donor relations as well as the marketing and communications division. 

Wendy holds an Honours B.A. with distinction from the University of Toronto, a M.A. in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota and retains her CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) designation earned in 2009. Wendy is passionate about the power of education to transform lives, and believes that we can all benefit greatly by also carving out time to volunteer and honour our civic responsibilities.  She currently volunteers her time at the YMCA.
