Sunshine, community spirit, and a shared love of sport made for an incredible day at the 16th annual United College Golf Tournament last month.

Alumni, friends, family, and supporters of the College gathered for a perfect day on the course, raising more than $25,000 in support of a great cause.

This year’s tournament introduced an exciting new partnership with the University of Waterloo’s women’s basketball team. Student-athletes volunteered throughout the day, connected with participants, with some even joining in for a round of golf. Their involvement gave players and supporters a chance to meet face-to-face and see firsthand how the funds raised will support their athletic and academic journeys.

The tournament has long been a highlight of United College’s calendar, offering alumni and friends the chance to reconnect while giving back to the broader college community. The energy on the course reflected not only the competitive fun of the game but also the generosity of a network committed to supporting student success.

Principal Richard Myers, who joined golfers and volunteers on the day, reflected on the meaning of the event:

“This tournament is such a wonderful example of the generosity and spirit that define United College. To see alumni, friends, and family come together year after year to support student-athletes is both inspiring and deeply impactful. The success of this year’s event is a testament to the strength of our community.”

With over $25,000 raised this year, the United College Golf Tournament continues to grow its legacy, strengthening connections, supporting Warriors' basketball, and reminding us all of the difference a community can make when it comes together.
