by Rebecca Wager, Director of External Relations
The External Relations team revived the annual United College Gratitude Dinner on March 20th, holding the event in person for the first time since 2019. This initiative builds an important bridge between current students and alumni, fosters a sense of philanthropy and highlights the important contributions that donors and volunteers have made to the college over the years.
The team was overwhelmed by supportive students who volunteered their time to write thank-you cards to friends of United College. Cards were personalized by students, who included their name, program, graduation year, and a message of gratitude.
One thank-you card read:
“On behalf of my peers, I want to thank you for supporting GreenHouse at United College. Your generosity helps empower us to realize our full potential and go out and do amazing things in the world. Your generosity is helping me serve the community by creating an electric boat that will clean plastic waste and other floating debris from local lakes and rivers. Thank you!”
Thank you to all United College students, volunteers, donors, and alumni for making the college the special place it is today.
