We have a new librarian joining the staff of the Witer Learning Resource Centre (WLRC) for a 14 month contract, while Laura Bredahl is on maternity leave. Sara is assuming liaison responsibilities for Optometry, Physics and Recreation & Leisure while Laura Bredahl is on parental leave. Sara will be located here in the Witer Learning Resource Centre, OPT 2107.
Sara provided us with the following personal history of her previous work experience here at the University of Waterloo.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo, before going on to do my Master of Library and Information Science at The University of Western Ontario. I have collectively worked for the Davis Centre Science Library at the University of Waterloo for one year, first as a MLIS co-op student and then as a librarian. My responsibilities focused on providing reference services, teaching instruction sessions, and working collaboratively with other librarians on special projects. I have been hired (to cover a maternity leave) by the University of Waterloo Library as a contract Liaison Librarian for the School of Optometry & Vision Science, as well as the departments of Physics & Astronomy and Recreation & Leisure Studies. I look forward to all of the exciting learning opportunities in my new role! “
