RxTx 3 (eCPS) and access the mobile application!

We now have access to RxTx 3, and with it comes the mobile app!

Enhanced features include:

  1. Unlimited seats (no more waiting for a turn to use it)
  2. Access to the RxTx Mobile App (details below)
  3. Electronic version of the CTMA – the Compendium of Therapeutics for Minor Ailments
  4. Electronic version of the CPMA – the  Compendium of Products for Minor Ailments

There is a link to RxTx on the “Ocular Pharmacology” page of the Optometry Research Guide.  After clicking on the link to RxTx, select “RxTx, Option 3.”  Option 2 should eventually disappear.

To view the CTMA content, click on “Tx: Conditions” and “Minor Ailments”If you are interested in downloading the app to your Apple or Android device, you can use the following instructions to do so:

On your computer or mobile device, visit www.pharmacists.ca/register4rxtx , and enter the Organization Code: request from wlrc.uwaterloo.ca and complete your registration (enter the University Address, and select Student or Faculty as your identity).

Once complete, you can go to the Apple/Google Play App Store from your smartphone/tablet and search for RxTx Mobile.

Once installed, enter your email address and the password created during registration.  This step is only required the first time the app is opened.

The app includes access to 1000’s of Health Canada approved monographs, CPhA evidence-based, peer-reviewed monographs on 300+ drugs, Health Canada advisories, and can be used on and offline.
