Content How it is updated
About the Undergraduate Studies Academic Calendar Updates are made by the Office of the Registrar and/or by the legal team, when additional clarity is requested.
Which Calendar to Follow for Requirements Updates are made by the Office of the Registrar, when additional clarity is requested, normally by faculties, in a similar way as an academic regulation.
Glossary of Terms
  • Edits to some definitions may be proposed to Senate for approval by the Office of the Registrar, in a similar way as an academic regulation.
  • Edits to some definitions are made when common terminology on campus has changed.
System of Study Updates are made when the University makes changes to its system of study structure.
Academic Terms Updates are made when the University makes changes to its term structure.
Teaching Day Updates are made when the University makes changes to its teaching hours.
Degrees Offered Updates are made by the Office of the Registrar after Senate has approved a new degree, a new degree hood description, or a degree retirement.
International Joint Education Programs The faculties who offer such programs provide updates to the Office of the Registrar when approval has been received.
Course Subjects Offered Updates are made by the Office of the Registrar after Senate Undergraduate Council has approved courses with a new subject code, the retirement of the last course within a subject code, or when a subject has been modified.
Important Dates & Deadlines
  • Academic dates are generated by the Office of the Registrar with Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs, and submitted to Senate and its committees for approval on an annual basis.
  • Course registration dates are calculated based on the Drop/Add Deadlines regulation and the course scheduling cycle document.
  • Operational dates (e.g., official grades, grade submission dates) are determined by the Office of the Registrar.
  • Once approved or finalized, dates are added to the academic calendar.
