In this interactive workshop for MEng students, you will learn how Centre for Career Action can support you during your job search process. We will discuss how to take care of yourself during job search and the value of making connections as part of a job search strategy. You will explore networking strategies and identify your own action plan. Job search platforms such as job boards and LinkedIn will also be discussed.
Open-Source Battery Modeling Workshop
The design of scientific figures is a key step that all researchers undertake as they present or publish their work, but one that they typically receive little training or education on how to do effectively. The Waterloo Electrochemical Society Student Chapter (WatECS) is delighted to invite you to attend a workshop on designing scientific figures, hosted by Professor Felice Frankel.
Frankel is a science photographer and research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and an internationally recognized expert in scientific graphics, visualization, photography, and communication of scientific results to the public.

The program is tailored for women-identifying students, where you will learn how to cope with the stress and anxiety you face from living your life as a student, how to budget properly so that you can have financial freedom later, what skills you need to develop to become the leader you want to be (and how to develop them), and the truth behind health, nutrition and your body weight.
