She will talk about the design and engineering of electrolytes and membranes for durable and low-cost zinc-iodine redox flow batteries, paving the way for future electrolyte research in high-energy-density storage systems.

Campus Wellness is offering a new virtual workshop series for the Winter 2021 term: Managing Personal Wellness in a Global Pandemic.

The series includes three 1-hour workshops that can be taken in any order, and you can take one or all of them! The workshops include practical skills to help you handle anxiety and low mood, and create sustainable, achievable habits.

The Department of Chemical Engineeirng welcomes you to hear Professor Balakumar Balasingam discuss an important element in the move to mass electric vehicle adoption: management of the battery packs. He will introduce Cramer-Rao Lower bound (CRLB) and its variations as the achievable limit on equivalent circuit modeling parameter estimation, discuss some practical difficulties in achieving them and propose alternate solutions.
