Lanting Qian

Lanting Qian travelled to Oak Ridge National Lab in Tennessee, USA to conduct research as he pursues a PhD in chemical engineering. Lanting is conducting research focused on enhancing lithium metal fluoride materials for use in all solid-state batteries. While at Oak Ridge National Laboratory he worked with experts inside their world-class facility researching neutron diffraction, contributing to his PhD thesis.

From his international experience, Lanting most appreciated the chance to observe firsthand the remarkable research underway at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Lanting offers one guiding piece of advice for those considering pursuing an international experience:
