F*ck Perfect

F*ck Perfect (FP) is a community-building, artist-facilitated workshop offered to empower participants to speak back to the pressure to be perfect through multidisciplinary artistic exercises and to build creative confidence in the service of the community we create together. 

Alleviating Anxiety

This CBT and mindfulness-based seminar is designed to help you better understand anxiety, its causes, and the factors that maintain it. Throughout this seminar, we will introduce you to a number of strategies designed to alleviate anxiety at the moment, challenge your anxious thoughts, and change behaviours that maintain your anxiety. 

Mind Body Run

Learn to Run or Walk Mindfully. A virtual mindful running and walking program to help you to keep physically and mentally healthy. This group offers students, staff and faculty the opportunity to take a break, get outside, and run/walk using the basic principles of mindfulness (being present in a non-judgemental mindset). On the Mind Body Run page, you can access weekly mindful meditations to consider before each run/walk.

Rewiring for Happiness Toolkit

Rewiring for Happiness uses positive psychology strategies and tools to help focus your brain on kindness, mindfulness, gratitude, empathy, and connection. Rewiring for Happiness is available as a self-registration course on LEARN

Vocal Coaching Group

The Vocal Coaching Group is for any Trans, Non-Binary or gender diverse University of Waterloo students wishing to develop a more masculine or feminine voice.

Skills for Safer Living Ideation Group

The Skills for Safer Living Ideation Group is designed to support students who have had or have thoughts of suicide and seeks to reduce the intensity, frequency, and duration of suicide-related thinking. 

Queer and Trans Graduate Students Wellness (QTWELL)

QTWELL is an open, drop-in group where any graduate student who is a sexual and gender minority or identifies as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ communities may drop in for good conversation and support to promote student wellness.

Grad Circle Drop In

Hosted weekly through Counselling Services, Grad Circle Drop ins offer a safe, confidential space for all graduate students to talk about the stressors in graduate school and life, emotions (including problems with anxiety and depression), and relationships. This group can be attended on a drop-in basis, attendance at each session is not required.

Multi-faith Spaces

The university provides a listing of multi-faith spaces on campus that can be used by students for prayer, reflection and other faith-based activities. 

Campus Chaplains

The UWaterloo chaplains represent eleven different faith traditions, and strives to be a dynamic presence on campus, providing support to students, faculty, staff and the community.
