KIX (n): Knowledge Integration eXhibition; a convergence of disciplines, teaching methods and creative minds in an object-centric exhibition on topics related to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

The students in the Knowledge Integration program invite you to experience the culmination of our third-year design project: The Museum Course. Working in teams to produce these exhibits has been a rewarding and unique experience.

The field trip kicks off the Museum Course, where Knowledge Integration students practise interdisciplinary collaboration by designing original, working museum exhibits. They start by studying museums in a museum-rich city, and they finish with an exhibition of their own work in March of their third year.

In this seminar Caleb will discuss his path towards interdisciplinary research through multiple aspects of his research on bat sociality, as well as some personal experiences of the exciting challenges of working across disciplines.

KI Chair, Katie Plaisance, and UG Advisor, Solène Jollivet, will offer time for students to plan their KI degree and beyond, from grad school to the workforce.

Dr. Samuel Petrie, Health System Impact Fellow at the University of Toronto and the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, University Health Network, will speak to the complexities of the health system and its need for generalist skills within the system.

Brett Purcell, President of Nevada Learning Series, will speak of his niche change and communication company based in Toronto.
