Eric Kennedy, BKI 2012, and Bryson McLachlan, current KI student, have been awarded the Equinox Fellowship, a program that funds projects initiated by young people between the ages of 18 and 30 inspired by the priorities outlined in the Equinox Blueprint: Learning 2030.
Eric is developing The International Interdisciplinary Network, and Bryson is creating a design thinking module.
The 2014 Knowledge Integration eXhibits officially opened today.

At the second annual KI alumni panel, our recent grads shared their experiences.
Taryn Dewar, 4th year KI student and varsity athlete, currently at the Ontario University Athletics swimming championships at Brock, qualified last night for the Canadian Interuniversity Sport swimming championships (Feb 20-22 @ U of T).
She qualified in the 200m breaststroke (that's an exhausting event!), and dropped 5+ seconds from her previous best. She's been training especially hard this year, and it sounds like her great work at the Florida training camp at Christmas is really paying off!
Congratulations Taryn!
The new Collaborative Design Specialization offers KI students the opportunity to develop a concentration in design thinking, skills, and practice.
The idea for the specialization was proposed by KInnovations, a committee of the Knowledge Integration Student Society, and designed -- collaboratively, of course -- by KI students, staff, and faculty.

Guess how many different courses KI students took in 2013!
Answer: 320, from 58 departments.
Interdisciplinary indeed!
KI professor Rob Gorbet, currently on sabbatical, recently installed the immersive tech-art Epiphyte Chamber, at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in Seoul, Korea, part of an ongoing collaborative and interdisciplinary project with architect Philip Beesley.
Vanessa Schweizer is in Warsaw, Poland with Environment students at the United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP19) in Poland.
Several members of the KI community, including Ed Jernigan (Director of the Centre for Knowledge Integration), Eric Kennedy (BKI '12), along with current KI students, are participating in the Equinox Summit: Learning 2030.
