Three graduates of Waterloo Engineering have been named to a high-profile list of the 100 most powerful women in Canada.
Malgosia Green, Stephanie Thompson and Laura Kennedy are among 11 leaders in education, business and the community who made the grade and have campus-wide ties to the University of Waterloo.
Kennedy (BASc ’96, mechanical engineering) was named in the entrepreneurs category. She co-founded Global Power Technologies, a company that provides Canada’s gas industry with the lowest-emission and highest-reliability off-grid power systems to support the transition to greener operations.
The Women’s Executive Network (WXN), an organization that aims to propel and celebrate the advancement of professional women, recently released its 2022 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winners to celebrate women across the country for their leadership and accomplishments.
