Two professors within the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering have received funding from the federal government that awards innovative and bold Canadian-led projects.
The following professors and projects have received grants:
Dr. HJ Kwon: Using AI for a hybrid MRI-ultrasound solution that’ll create high-resolution images to give precise treatment guidance for patients with cancer.
Dr. Kevin Musselman: Creating biodegradable nanocoatings for common packaging materials that are capable of breaking down plastic waste to eliminate microplastics.
