Cobionix, co-founded by MME alumni, Nima Zamani and Dr. Tim Lasswell (BASc ’14, MASc ’18) has secured $3 million in funding from TitletownTech, a venture firm backed by some of the most notable companies in the world.
Cobionix has developed their flagship robot, CODI®, to help overburdened healthcare workers through automation. Their solution is particularly useful for health care providers in rural or underserved areas.
The team has been conducting research and is currently in the clinical pilot phases of the robot at Saskatoon’s Virtual Health Hub. Once trials are done, the team will deploy more CODI®’s across health care systems, and this new funding will help with that.
