UWAFT performed extremely well at this year's EcoCAR 3 Competition that took place Seattle, WA May 29^th to June 5^th, 2015;  in what is by far the most competitive Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition yet.  UWAFT achieved the following resulting in over $10,000 U.S. in prize monies:

MME students outperform the competition at Formula Hybrid

Waterloo’s Formula Hybrid racing team edged out other top university race cars at this year’s Formula Hybrid International Competition taking first place overall in the competition.   

Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering's very own graduate student, Elahe Jabari, has been chosen as one of the top ten University of Waterloo finalists for the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition.

We encourage everyone to cheer on Elahe during the final competition which will be held on Thursday, April 2, from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. in the Humanities Theatre, Hagey Hall.

Waterloo student wins top co-op student of the year in Canada

Six students are honoured as the top co-op students in their Faculties at the University of Waterloo

Professor Kyle Daun has been awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship. This is a monetary award given to an outstanding academic to continue his/her research in Germany for a period of up to 18 months.
