A graduate student at the University of Waterloo has developed the first standardized chart to measure vision for reading in Arabic – a language spoken by hundreds and millions of people around the world.
I wanted to get a standardized chart in Arabic for testing my patients. I then discovered that we don’t have one.
Dr. Natalie Hutchings has been recognized with the Faculty of Science’s Excellence in Science Teaching Award (ESTA).
Numerous letters of support from both students and faculty accompanied Hutchings’ nomination. These cited her exemplary performance in all aspects of teaching at the School, whether in the classroom, lab or clinic.
