Every year, the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy hosts a special event for first- and second-year Conditional Admission to Pharmacy (CAP) students where they have an opportunity to build connections with each other, pharmacy student ambassadors and the School.

Mariam Elsoukkary (Rx2026), a third-year Pharmacy student, shares her experience working in a pharmacy in Iqaluit, Nunavut. She discusses adapting to a slower pace, living with limited resources and learning to be more culturally sensitive and flexible in her approach to patient care.

Preparing for a sustainable future

The University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy has received a $6,500 Sustainability Integration in Curriculum (SIC) grant from the Sustainability Office to embed sustainability throughout the PharmD program.

Victoria MacDonald (Rx2025) fulfills her lifelong dream to become a pharmacist and give back to her community through the help of Waterloo Pharmacy's experiential learning program.

Researchers from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Waterloo use a modified version of a bacterial virus called M13 to target specific human cells to deliver different therapeutic genes for the treatment of many different diseases.
