Course description

This interdisciplinary seminar explores how emerging technologies are reshaping the future of health in the context of climate change, climate resiliency, healthy aging, and independent living. Students will examine emerging technologies —including generative AI, blockchain, and advanced sensor systems—and evaluate their potential to strengthen climate-resilient health systems, enhance population health, and support aging societies. Through case studies, discussions, and hands‑on exploration, the course investigates applications such as AI‑driven decision support, decentralized and resilient health data management, environmental and physiological sensing, and technology‑enabled aging in place. Emphasis is placed on ethical, social, and implementation considerations, preparing students to critically assess and contribute to the development of innovative, climate‑resilient health solutions in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
