David O’Toole, President and CEO of the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), will be speaking about transforming health data into strong health policy, with a specific focus on the emerging role of artificial intelligence.
As CIHI’s president and chief executive officer, David O’Toole leads the organization in identifying the health information priorities for Canada’s health care systems, in collaboration with federal, provincial and territorial governments. This includes providing these jurisdictions with integrated health information that contributes to the improvement of population health outcomes and health system performance.

- Chair of the Board of Directors of the Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC); and member of the Board of Directors of SCAN Health, a Canadian centre of excellence identifying and promoting best practices in health care supply chains
- Adjunct professor in the School of Policy Studies at Queen’s University
