The Eva Leflar Foundation established this award to help students financially upon entrance to university from an Owen Sound or Grey Bruce area high school, to pursue and complete a University of Waterloo degree while registered through Renison University College.
The Scholarship and Awards Committee will renew this award annually upon application, provided that students are making satisfactory academic progress in their full-time program, and are able to demonstrate continued financial need.
To be eligible for this award, a student must:
- have graduated from a high school in the Owen Sound area, with first preference to students from Owen Sound District Secondary School. Thereafter students graduating from St. Mary’s High School, West Hill Secondary School and Georgian Bay Secondary School will receive consideration.
- be enrolled as a full-time student in five courses in Social Development Studies, Honours Arts, or Honours Arts and Business program, and a preference will be given to students who are taking Renison courses.
- be able to demonstrate financial need
