There are two areas of study within the School of Social Work. The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a post-graduate degree that you may apply to after completing your undergraduate degree, and the Master of Social Work (MSW) is an advanced degree that you may apply to after completing a BSW.
Social Development Studies (SDS)combines psychology, sociology, social work and interdisciplinary SDS courses. SDS is also one of Renison's direct-entry programs, but you are also able to apply through the Honours Arts and/or Honours Arts and Business program by selecting SDS as your major.
There are a number of pathways for entry to the SDS program. Most commonly, applications come from those graduating high school, or transferring from a college program.

Through courses and programs in Applied Language Studies, East Asian Studies, Studies in Islamic and Arab Cultures, the humanities (English Language and Literature, Fine Arts, and Religious Studies), and languages (American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, English Language Studies, Korean, Japanese, and Mohawk (Kanien’kéha)), Culture and Language Studies (CLS) contributes vibrantly to Renison’s vision for “Global Engagement through Languages and Cultures.”
For over 50 years, Renison’s English Language Institute (ELI) has been offering English language courses and programs to students from around the world to support them in achieving their academic, personal and professional goals.
Community and Professional Education (CAPE) offers credit-free programs, courses, and events in the areas of language, culture, and spirituality to the community. CAPE offerings are a great way to learn something new, gain practical skills, build your resume, and achieve your personal and professional goals.
