Departments and programs

Affiliated with the University of Waterloo, Renison offers degree courses in Social Development Studies (Bachelor of Arts) and Social Work (Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work). We also offer a wide variety of language, culture, and arts classes, both for degree-seeking students at Waterloo, as well as international students and community members who are not enrolled.

School of Social Work

The School of Social Work offers strong academics as well as a skills-oriented approach to social work practice, for students pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work, or Master of Social Work degree.

Social Development Studies

Social Development Studies combines psychology, sociology, social work and interdisciplinary SDS courses for students pursing a Bachelor of Arts degree.

English Language Institute

The English Language Institute offers a variety of English language programs and courses for students who are interested in improving their language skills to meet either academic, personal, or professional goals.

Community and Professional Education (CAPE) offers degree-free programs, courses, and events in the areas of language, culture, and spirituality.
