About the Scholarship
The Hsiao Family Scholarship was established in honour of Professor Hsiao d'Ailly's parents and their enduring belief in the transformative power of education and the importance of service to the community. By supporting first-generation university students in the Social Development Studies/Bachelor of Social Work Double Degree program, the scholarship seeks to encourage future professionals who are committed to improving the lives of others and strengthening their communities through service.
Students will automatically be considered for this scholarship if they are first-generation students, have been admitted full-time to the Social Development Studies/Social Work Double Degree program, and are beginning university or college for the first time in September.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be admitted as a full-time student in the Social Development Studies/Social Work Double Degree program.
- Be a first-generation university student.
- Have the highest admission average among eligible candidates.
