UWaterloo’s Giving Tuesday campaign from November 21-28, 2023.
There is an opportunity for casual work for anyone that is interested. You would be working for Karen Ertel in W Print organizing and prepping written exams for scanning. There would be a range of hours available during the working hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm from Monday to Friday. These would be during the term and also during final exams.
Below are a few details
The UWRA WATtimes featured an article about Reep Green Solutions in our Spring-Summer 2023 issue of WATtimes, page 4.
Due to a ransome-ware attempt, the University is securing their on line systems. As a result, all retirees and alumni must change their WATIam password by June 8th. A notice was sent out by email to all users of the UWaterloo E-mail accounts and other systems.
After June 8th, you will be locked out of your account and will need to contact IST to unlock it for you.
As a retiree, UWRA is posting this news so that you can reach out to your retired friends and colleagues who may not be aware of this deadline.
This event is open to all members of the university community and their guests.
This fun tournament will be held on June 19, 2023 at Grand Valley Golf & Country Club.

Some recent retirees may have had their email accounts inadvertently disabled. IST is re-activating those as we are made aware of them, and putting in place a fix to prevent this from recurring. No email is lost when this happens, but the account is locked out until IST manually unlocks it.
This affected employees who recently moved to Office 365 email, as part of our campus email project, and then retired. It should not affect those who were already retired, or who did not move to Office 365 email. It should not affect recent retirees who are also UW alumni.
The issue was caused by automated account deprovisioning that detected a person no longer in the Workday HR system after their retirement, and if they were also no longer in the alumni database, the system removed their Office 365 email license as our system did not check retiree status. IST is working on fixing this as quickly as possible.
Please contact IST to have this resolved
