First-of-its-kind project is helping Canadian cities transition to net zero

Launched by the University of Waterloo, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and ICLEI Canada, the Municipal Net-Zero Action Research Partnership (N-ZAP) is developing resources to support Canadian municipalities to monitor, measure, report and achieve climate action.

SEED Faculty Dr. Amelia Clarke, Dr. Jeffrey Wilson and Dr. Amr ElAlfy all have leadership roles in this project. There are also eight SEED PhD students and one MES student currently involved, plus various research assistants and a project manager. A number of other SEED faculty members also support N-ZAP through their role on the graduate student committees.
