Congratulations to Dr. Amelia Clarke for her recent SSHRC Insight Grant competition funding award! Her research project entitled, “Cross-sector Social Partnerships for the Implementation of Community Sustainability Strategies: A Study on the Relationships between Collaborative Structures and Outcomes” will receive funding over the next 5 years for the total amount of $330,233.

Last week the Waterloo Environment and Business Students (WEBS) Association “suited up” for a new initiative they created, called the “Network Now” workshop. Students from first to fourth year gathered to uncover tips and tricks for networking, LinkedIn, resume writing, and interviews.  

Congratulations to Grace Saunders, Arun Raj and Ying Zhou, three students in the Sustainability Management Master's Program in the School of Environment Enterprise and Development (SEED) who were awarded RBC Water Scholarships. 

The awardees demonstrate their outstanding leadership in issues around water and sustainability, and we are extremely proud to have them in SEED, inspiring other students!

Professor Blair Feltmate chatted with CBC PEI recently when he was in town for the FCM Conference, and focused on what cities need to do to adapt to climate change, based on the learnings from the 2013 Alberta Floods.

Nine students were selected for a Master of Environment and Business (MEB) academic achievement award. MEB awards are given to the top three students in each cohort (based on cumulative grades in MEB courses) annually. Each winner receives $2000 towards their tuition.
