Our 2023 Annual Report is out

Our 2023 annual report is ready, and trust me, you’ll want to check it out this year!

This year’s report as a whole new look and features our brand new vision, mission, and values statements, information about our new strategic plan, illustrated statistics about the last year, and more – along with the usual reports from our own committees, officers, and members representing you on committees all across the University.

The UWSA is looking for a dedicated person to step into the crucial role of Staff Association President, where you can gain leadership experience, support members, and represent the voice of staff as UWSA spokesperson.

We've re-opened nominations for president until October 24. We encourage all members to think about running for this position or nominating someone you believe in.

The Faculty Association and Staff Association have teamed up to print and distribute more than 5,000 pride flag stickers to employees. Posting your sticker somewhere visible in your workspace is one small way to show your support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the wake of the hate attacks of June 28 targeting that community. We hope that thousands of pride stickers displayed all over our four campuses will help send the message that all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community belong at Waterloo.

Starting October 10, all UWSA members will be invited to vote for new directors to join the UWSA Board.

There are two candidates this year, and two seats available: The candidate with the highest number of votes will be elected to a three-year term on the Board; the other candidate will be elected to a one-year term.

The call for nominations for UWSA president has been re-issued; we urge all members to consider this opportunity, which includes a one-year full-time secondment.
