2018 Environmental Sustainability Report

Waterloo's 2018 Environmental Sustainability Report provides a snapshot of the progress that has been made across campus. For the first time, Waterloo is tracking it's progress against the 27 Objectives included as part of the Environmental Sustainability Strategy.

Data in the report reflects the 2017 calendar year, while case studies and stories reflect the period April 2017 through June 2018.

STARS REPORTS

STARS Silver LogoIn 2018, Waterloo earned a Silver rating in its first submission to the the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System (STARS), developed by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). STARS is a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework specifically for higher education instituions that tracks efforts and performance in academics, operations, engagement, and planning and governance related to sustainability.

The results of Waterloo's submission, and those of all other participating colleges and universities, are publically available online on the STARS website.
