A Waterloo official transcript is a complete record of a student's academic history at the University of Waterloo, including all undergraduate and graduate courses taken, grades earned, academic standing, co-op requirements, awards of excellence, and degrees conferred. All official transcripts, in either digital or paper formats, include a transcript legend and grading scale.

Official transcript order costs are $15 CAD.

A transcript reflects the current status of a student’s record at the time it is issued. If you require your completed degree to appear on your official transcript, submit your official transcript request only after the degree is visible on your unofficial transcript Degrees are normally coded two to four weeks following the end of your final term.

Digital transcripts

Make your request to order a digital transcript directly in Quest; this option is available to any student who has been enrolled at Waterloo since 2001. If you were enrolled before September 2001 and did not graduate, call us at 519-888-4567, ext. 42268 to request your official transcript.

  • In Quest: Select the Academics tile and then select Official Transcript Request link from the left.

By requesting a digital copy, you authorize the University of Waterloo to share your data with MyCredsTM.

Your digital transcript will be available in 1-2 business days. Once your request is processed, you will receive an email with a link to the MyCreds Learner portal. You can then make a payment to purchase share credits and then share your transcript with a third party or yourself via an email address. Note: At least one share credit must be purchased to view your official digital transcript.

Please note: if you link your University of Waterloo account to another Learner profile on MyCreds and then request your transcript through Quest it will not be viewable. You will need to unlink your accounts and wait for your document to be issued from the University of Waterloo.
