Title
Stokes/Darcy model and related problems
Abstract
In this talk, I will focus on the Stokes/Darcy and related models which can be used to describe fluid flow within regions partially occupied by porous media. Such coupled fluid flow models are prevalent across various fields, notably in addressing groundwater contamination issues where contaminants propagate through surface and subsurface flows. I will discuss the well-posedness of these models and their numerical analysis by using the hybridizable discontinuous Galerkin (HDG) method. Emphasis will be on the properties and well-posedness of the numerical schemes, and their a priori error estimates. Results from numerical experiments will also be presented.
