If you are in high school and wish to enroll in one of our Applied Mathematics programs, the first step is to apply for admission to the Faculty of Mathematics through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC). Select the admission code as indicated below.

All Applied Mathematics programs (except for those involving Computer Science or Engineering),

  • Select the code WM for the Mathematics admission category
  • At the end of your first year, you will enroll in the Applied Mathematics program of your choice

Applied Mathematics with Engineering electives:

  • Select the code WM for the Mathematics admission category (co-op only)
  • When you preregister for your first term, you will be enrolled in the AMATH/ENG program

Joint or Double Applied Mathematics and Computer Science:

  • Select the code WCS for the Computer Science admission category
  • At the end of your first year, you will select Applied Mathematics as your second major

Mathematical Physics:

  • Select code WM for the Mathematics admission category
  • During your first year you will ask the Applied Mathematics Undergraduate officer to enrol you in Mathematical Physics

Scientific Computation/Applied Mathematics:

  • Select code WM for the Mathematics admission category
  • At the end of your first year you will enroll in Scientific Computation/Applied Mathematics

Co-op or Regular system of study:

All of the above programs, except for Applied Mathematics with Engineering Electives, are available in Co-op and Regular. Indicate your preference when you apply. To find out about Co-op, click on the related links on the right sidebar.
