Desired background: Undergraduate courses in ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, complex analysis, and some experience with scientific computation.
Opportunity to learn about the field: For students with no previous background in control theory, a bridging graduate course, AMATH 655 Control Theory, is taught each winter term.
Desired background: An undergraduate course in ordinary differential equations. Background in partial differential equations and/or dynamical systems is required for some projects.
