Title

Advancing Drug Discovery with FAIR Data and Explainable AI in Biomedical Research

Abstract

Artificial intelligence has tremendous potential to transform drug discovery and precision medicine, but realizing this potential requires high-quality, interoperable data and trustworthy AI. In this seminar, Dr. Michel Dumontier will present how FAIR data principles, biomedical knowledge graphs, neurosymbolic AI, and explainable machine learning can work together to improve the transparency, reproducibility, and scientific validity of AI-driven biomedical research. The talk will highlight emerging approaches that integrate structured biomedical knowledge with modern AI to support more reliable discoveries and evidence-based decision-making.
