Exoplanets and habitable world
I will review questions in the observation of exoplanets and introduce the detection methods. The habitable condition for life is an important question in the planetary systems, galactic scales and cosmological scales. I will discuss on how the initial condition of the universe is fine-tuned to have an habitable condition. The parameters in our concern are the number of e-folding during the inflationary period and matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
