Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing Seminar | Magnus Svärd, Well-posedness and numerical stability

In this talk, I will very briefly discuss well-posedness theory, and numerical stability, for non-linear conservation laws. I will touch on theory for linear problems and weak convergence for non-linear conservation laws, and point to some fundamental differences. Then I move on to the linearisation process and discuss why linear well-posedness theory is useful. Finally, I wil discuss various notions of linear and non-linear stability.
