Impulsive switched singular systems
Singular systems have received considerable attentions over the past three decades due to their comprehensive applications in electrical engineering, aerospace industry, and chemical processes. Singular systems have many special features that are not found in classical systems such as regularity, impulse terms, and input derivatives in the state response. Many singular systems exhibit impulsive and switching behaviors, which are characterized by abrupt changes at switching time and switches of states, respectively. This presentation will provide an overview of singular systems and formulate the problem of impulsive switched singular systems. Moreover, it will discuss some existing works and recent progress in stability of such systems. Then it will discuss some future works.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
