Title

Dynamics of Singular Systems

Abstract

Singular systems arise in many fields such as electrical engineering, aerospace industry, and chemical processes. Singular systems have many special features that are not found in classical systems such as regularity, impulse terms, input derivatives in the state response. These features make the study of singular systems more sophisticated than of classical systems. Although singular systems theory has gained increasing attention in the last two decades, there are still many important questions waiting to be answered. This seminar will provide an introduction to basic results in singular systems such as regularity, standard decomposition form, and solutions of singular systems. In addition, some models will be discussed. Eigenstructures and stability of singular systems will also be presented.
