Applied Math professor receives CAIMS/PIMS Early Career Award

Jun Liu (Applied Mathematics) has been awarded the Canadian Applied and Industrial Mathematics Society and Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (CAIMS/PIMS) Early Career Award for 2020.

The prize recognizes exceptional research in any branch of applied mathematics, interpreted broadly. The award consists of a cash prize of $1,000 and a commemorative plaque that will be presented to Jun Liu at the CAIMS Annual Meeting. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis and postponement of the 2020 annual meeting, Jun will deliver a plenary lecture at the CAIMS Annual Meeting in 2021.
