Congratulations to Applied Mathematics professor Henry Shum, one of two recipients of the Award for Distinction in Teaching in 2025. The award has been granted to two recipients in the Faculty of Mathematics each year since 2007 in recognition of outstanding pedagogical skills and commitment to students’ education.
Shum credits keen students for making teaching more rewarding and in addition to lecturing, enjoys supervising undergraduate research and helping students prepare for graduate programs.
