Control and Stabilization of PDEs for smart structures

Abstract

I'll first go over some of the key concepts of Control Theory in application to Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). Then I will present an overview of some results and mathematical issues that arise in the analysis and control theory of some layered beam models and piezoelectric structures that are of interest in the modeling of smart structures.
