Title
Quantum state and channel discrimination, and conditions for channel reversibility
Abstract
The discrimination of quantum states and channels is fundamental in quantum information theory. For the abstract problem of quantum channel discrimination, I will discuss the role of the ancilla dimension in achieving optimal discrimination, relative to the input and output dimensions of the channels. In particular, I will present a family of channels containing arbitrary finite gap between the input and output dimensions, yet still requiring an ancilla as large as the input for optimal discrimination, and will discuss follow up questions.
