Title
Holographic Duality for Canonical Quantum Gravity
Abstract
Emerging from black hole physics, the holographic principle has been an essential guiding principle for searching for valid theory of quantum gravity for decades. Loop quantum gravity, as one of the main attempts to realize quantum gravity, provides a framework to study how the dynamics of the bulk geometry can be projected on the finite boundaries and be reconstructed in a quasi-local fashion. In this seminar, I will introduce the construction and mathematical background of canonical quantum gravity in 2+1 dimension and its extension to include a (negative) cosmological constant. I will then summarize the attempts of (quasi-local) holographic duality in loop quantum gravity in the current stage and a first step in the canonical approach. The work done and in progress will be summarized and a sketch of the future plans will be given.
