Computing facilities

The department provides IT services for all faculty, staff and students in the Department of Chemical Engineering and manages and services more than 300 computer systems connected via the campus wired and wireless digital communication networks.

The departmental teaching and administrative computing facilities consist of:

• 2 Waterloo Nexus public access rooms
• 6 multimedia seminar/presentation rooms
  • Multimedia Teaching/Seminar rooms

  • Multimedia Conference Rooms

• 1 Computer Aided Teaching (CAT) facility ChemCAT

• 3 terminal servers
• 1 public printer
• 4 departmental Xerox scanners/printers
• 1 departmental notebook computer
• 1 portable computer presentation projector
