Yes, it’s really a thing! (Not that we need more reasons to eat ice cream.)

Ice cream, sorbet, and popsicles are pure decadence on a hot summer’s day. If the ice cream meditation is not the current cool trend on Tik Tok, then it should be! This summer when enjoying your cool treat, try slowing down and savouring the moment. Notice the texture, temperature and flavour of each bite. The cold creaminess of the ice cream or crunchiness of the popsicle, the way it melts on the tongue and the burst of sweetness can all become anchors for awareness. By focusing on these sensations, we can quiet the mind and cultivate a sense of calm and appreciation. The meditation can also be done with frozen yogurt, freezies, iced coffee or your preferred cool treat.
